My wife and I were lucky to know the right people, who know the best people, and thus we were included in an Adventure Dolomite group tour in 2019. This was our first ever ‘guided travel tour’. Previously we always made our own arrangements, and now I see that traveling with knowledgeable guides, cheerful leaders, comaraderie, and having all the organization done for us truly makes it a vacation.

Sigi’s boundless enthusiasm and encouragement, along with Manfred and Renata,  lead us through activities that were personal challenges, but easily done. The feeling of accomplishment and growth was both rewarding and a lesson in just what each of us could do if we wanted to.  And golly do we want to do it again. This time though, more ‘Via Ferratas’ (don’t look down), and cycling in some of the prettiest and awe inspiring lands I’ve ever seen…. and that compares to backpacking in the West Coast Nat’l Parks.

The accommodations were over-the-top, the food was amazing, the group conversations and friendships expanding, and behind it all was the Sorcerer Sigi.  Like a magician, Sigi changed my life and my expectations of self.  And that is what true friends do …..
